 * युद्ध सूर्योदय हुनुअघि शुरु हुनु हुँदैन र सूर्यास्त हुनासाथ बन्द हुनुपर्छ ।
Fighting must begin no earlier than sunrise and end exactly at sunset.
 * धेरै योद्धाहरूले एकजना योद्धालाई आक्रमण गर्न नहुने ।
Multiple warriors may not attack a single warrior.
 * एकै किसिमका हतियार बोकेका र वाहनमा चडेका दुईजना योद्धाहरू आपसमा लामो लडाईँ लड्न सक्ने (तर फरक प्रकारको हतियार बोकेका र वाहनमा चडेकासँग लड्न नहुने) ।
Two warriors may "duel", or engage in prolonged personal combat, only if they carry the same weapons and they are on the same kind of mount (no mount, a horse, an elephant, or a chariot).
 * आत्मसमर्पण गरेकालाई मार्न नहुने र त्यस्तालाई युद्धबन्दीको रुपमा सुरक्षा दिइनु पर्ने ।
No warrior may kill or injure a warrior who has surrendered. One who surrenders becomes a prisoner of war and will then be subject to the protections of a prisoner of war.
 * निशस्त्र योद्धालाई घाइते बनाउन वा मार्न नहुने । No warrior may kill or injure an unarmed warrior.
 * अचेत अवस्थाको योद्धालाई घाइते बनाउन वा मार्न नहुने ।
No warrior may kill or injure an unconscious warrior.
 * युद्धमा भाग नलिएको व्यक्ति वा पशुलाई घाइते बनाउन वा मार्न नहुने ।
No warrior may kill or injure a person or animal not taking part in the war.
 * पिठ्युँ फर्काएका योद्धालाई घाइते बनाउन वा मार्न नहुने ।
No warrior may kill or injure a warrior whose back is turned away.
 * महिलालाई आक्रमण गर्न नहुने ।
No warrior may attack a woman.
 * ठाडो धम्की वा चुनौतिको अवस्थामा बाहेक (वा आफुलाई खतरा आएको अवस्थामा बाहेक) कुनै पनि पशु / जनावरलाई प्रहार गर्न नहुने ।
No warrior may strike an animal not considered a direct threat.
 * हतियार विशेषसँग सम्बन्धित नियमहरू पालन गरिनु पर्ने, जस्तै युद्धमा गदाले प्रहार गर्दा कम्मरभन्दा मुनि प्रहार गर्न नपाइने ।
The rules specific to each weapon must be followed. For example, it is prohibited to strike below the waist in mace warfare.
 * योद्धाहरू कुनै 'अनुचित' युद्धमा लाग्न नहुने । Warriors may not engage in any "unfair" warfare.
